Museum of Lemkow Culture in Zyndranowa

Zyndranowa is a place which used to be once home to 180 Lemkos homesteads. Unfortunately, only a few have survived to this day. The Lemkos population expelled at the beginning of the 20th century did not return until the 1950s, when the authorities of the People's Republic of Poland eased their attitude to national minorities. Those who decided to return slowly and laboriously began to rebuild lost property. One of such people was Teodor Gogacz, who started to gather numerous Lemkos souvenirs and war exhibits in his house. Thus, he became the founder of the first museum in Zyndranowa with a remarkable collection. To date every year In Zyndranowa there is a traditional event called "From Rusal to Jan", during which you can take part in workshops of handicraft works.
